Summit Nanotech has developed a more sustainable, reliable lithium extraction solution. Our high-performance direct lithium extraction (DLE) sorbent and system was developed in North America to be deployed across Argentina, Chile, and the US.

Summit's technology outperforms other extraction technologies on any given brine, but we’re focused on the abundant and commercially-relevant brine resources in South America and the US with a platform that fits their economic and technical needs.

Our Journey

2018

Summit Nanotech was founded

Amanda Hall founded Summit Nanotech to solve one of the most urgent challenges of the energy transition: extracting lithium sustainably, efficiently, and at scale.

2021

Accelerated growth

Summit Nanotech’s rapid growth begins, expanding the team to 25 and initiating the development of their pilot.

2022

Pilot launches

Summit Nanotech constructs a lithium extraction pilot plant, and transports it to northern Chile for an in-field, multi-client project

2023

Expansion into Chile

Summit's team grows to 78 employees and opens a customer qualification facility in Santiago, Chile upon successful completion of their pilot.

2024

Expansion into the US

Summit’s team surpasses 100 employees and expands into the US, opening a technology scale-up facility in Denver, Colorado.

2025

Demo plant commissioned

Summit commissions their demonstration plant in northern Chile with a major mining company.
